VCXC 2017 categories

The VCXC series, much like other series in BC, is based on racer ability with separations by age. We utilize category ranking to recommend races to riders, but also assessing your own ability level. Riders can move up a category, or down, during the season if it seems fitting, but age divisions remain unless you move into Elite men, elite women or single speed cx. For a more in depth description read below.

40+ men are split into two groups - mens a and mens b. group a are masters that have competed at an elite level, or would consider racing in the top half of the intermediate field, cat 1/2/3. group b would consider themselves cat 3/4/5. starts are separated by one minute and race for 45 minutes.
